Living Seasonally & Cyclically

Hosted by Camille Leak, co-hosted by Luis Mojica

Most of us go from 0 to 100 throughout the day, week, month and year. We jump out of bed, go straight to doing all the things, and pass out at night. Monday – Friday we are “on fire” and collapse on the couch Saturday and Sunday. During the month or year, we may regularly hit a crash period, or our body forces us to stop by getting sick before kicking ourselves back into high gear to get sh*t done! But here is the kicker: it is not sustainable. Eventually, we will hit a wall. We will burn out. I certainly did. Instead of oscillating between two dissociative extremes, I chose to uncover my own unique cyclical rhythm. Now, I can gradually move in and out of different phases in an embodied way – ramp up, execute/produce, ramp down, and rest – rather than having abrupt explosion-and-crash fits. I can’t tell you what your rhythm should be, but I can share with you prompts and practices that can help answers come into your awareness, as well ways to relate to the fear of living and working differently than the “norm.”
